In this dark, high-octane sequel to the New York Timesbestselling Dorothy Must Die, Amy Gumm must do everything in her power to kill Dorothy and free Oz.

To make Oz a free land again, Amy Gumm was given a mission: remove the Tin Woodman’s heart, steal the Scarecrow’s brain, take the Lion’s courage, and then Dorothy must die…

But Dorothy still lives. Now the Revolutionary Order of the Wicked has vanished, and mysterious Princess Ozma might be Amy’s only ally. As Amy learns the truth about her mission, she realizes that she’s only just scratched the surface of Oz’s past—and that Kansas, the home she couldn’t wait to leave behind, may also be in danger. In a place where the line between good and evil shifts with just a strong gust of wind, who can Amy trust—and who is really Wicked?

Jan’s Review

Amy has to get the Tin Man’s heart, the Lion’s tail, and the Scarecrow’s brain before she can properly kill Dorothy.  Which sets you off on this adventure to take out Dorthy.  Alot of the story focuses on Ozma/Pete history but we see a lot of epic action as well.

Amy really starts to come into her own in this second book in the series she really starts to get what she doing in Oz and that taking it back from the Evil Dorthy.   Their some parts of it that just seem down right silly like the giant cat named Heathcliff with a unicorn horn on its head.   Like anything you see in Oz you take it with a grain of salt, i mean come on you got munchkins and flying monkeys it can be believed right.

The next book in the series is called Yellow Brick war which seems like a great title for a book about Oz.  I will be borrowing once a copy come available from the library.  My next audio book will be Wind Witch by Susan Dennard.
